Collection: Bamboo Cutting Boards

Bamboo cutting boards for everyday prep, carving and serving. Pick a single board, a 2, 3 or 4 piece set, a thick board with a deep juice groove, or a large carving board for turkey and brisket.

Bamboo is gentle on knives and easy to care for. Hand wash with mild soap, dry right away and oil now and then with food grade mineral oil. Never soak it or put it in the dishwasher.

Questions

Is bamboo good for cutting boards?

Yes. Bamboo is hard and dense, so it holds up to daily chopping, and it is easier on knife edges than glass or stone.

Will a bamboo board dull my knives?

Bamboo is a little harder than maple or walnut, but it is much gentler than glass, stone or ceramic boards.

Can I put it in the dishwasher?

No. Hand wash with mild soap and warm water, then dry it right away. The heat and soaking in a dishwasher can warp or crack it.

How often should I oil it?

Rub in food grade mineral oil about once a month, or any time the wood looks dry or pale.

What size should I buy?

For everyday chopping, about 12 x 9 inches works well. For a turkey, brisket or big prep jobs, go with 18 inches or larger.
